Key responsibilities of the position include executing fixed income trades in accordance with portfolio strategy and fund guidelines, monitoring market trends and yield curves, collaborating with portfolio managers and economists to align market views, maintaining active communication with brokers to ensure best execution, tracking performance metrics, analyzing trade impact, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, finance, mathematics or a related field, and professional certification - CGA or equivalent. Experience in trading fixed income instruments, preferably in an asset management environment, is highly desirable.
A strong knowledge of interest rate products and monetary policy is required, as well as proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and familiarity with risk management reports. Programming skills in Python and VBA for data analysis and automation are highly desirable.
Strong communication, decision-making, and stress management skills are essential, along with integrity, attention to detail, and a high level of responsibility.
