Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial & Performance Management department in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the calculation and monitoring of actuarial reserves, Solvency KPIs, and regulatory requirements for our Brazilian subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data preparation and analysis: Extract, process, store, and distribute data to support actuarial calculations and reporting.
  • Automated routine development: Create and maintain automated routines using R, VBA, PowerQuery, and PowerPivot to streamline data processing and reporting.
  • Process improvement: Review, improve, document, and automate processes in the Actuarial & Performance Management area to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monthly closing activities: Prepare and review technical provisions and retrocession assets (SUSEP GAAP) and develop studies to revise methodologies and actuarial assumptions.
  • Reporting and visualization: Create and maintain reports in PowerBI to provide insights and support business decisions.
  • Collaboration and communication: Interact with various areas of the company in Brazil and Germany, including Underwriting, Client Management, Claims, Risk Management, and other Back Office departments.
  • Executive presentations: Support in preparing executive presentations on local results (P&L SUSEP GAAP) and group reporting (IFRS17).

Requirements

  • Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics degree.
  • Analytical and hands-on profile, organized, curious, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to communicate numbers clearly and objectively.
  • Strong data skills and programming skills in R, Python, SAS, or VBA.
  • Knowledge of technical provisions and SUSEP regulatory aspects.
  • Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance accounting and IFRS 17 is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of reinsurance is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Data Visualization tools (Power BI or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced English language skills, with fluency a plus.
