We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst Associate to join our team at Moody's Investors Service. As a Credit Analyst Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the credit analysis process for financial institutions, insurance companies, and asset managers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Preliminary Credit Analysis: Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments of financial documents, asset performance, and economic/market data to support ratings, research, and analytical outreach.
- Develop Analytical Skills: Prepare financial spreadsheets and charts, analyze data, build and update financial models and analytical tools, and write analytical commentary in accordance with Moody's methodologies.
- Identify Trends and Develop Credit Conclusions: Use analytical ability and judgment to identify trends in data and form well-thought-out credit conclusions.
- Support Credit Monitoring and Surveillance: Prepare data for surveillance, update preliminary components of analysis, and initiate deeper credit reviews when necessary.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work as a team with other Associates and Analysts under the supervision of the direct manager.
- Education: Minimum undergraduate/first-level degree in economics, accounting, engineering, business administration, statistics, actuarial science, or similar.
- Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of validated experience.
- Skills: Proven English, spoken, and written communication, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Additional Skills: Python programming and Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a strong plus.
