About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Credit Analyst to join our team at Moody's Investors Service. As a key member of our credit analysis team, you will be responsible for conducting quantitative assessments of financial documents and economic/market data, as well as analyzing bond indentures, financial statements, and other legal documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of financial institutions.
  • Actively supervise the portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion.
  • Present credits efficiently and accurately in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings.
  • Demonstrate credit rating judgment as evidenced by the ability to distinguish among entities at different credit ratings levels.
  • Produce timely and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector-related issues.
  • Build and manage relationships with investors, advisors, and issuers.
  • Develop Moody's Local Brazil franchise through intermediary marketing and transparency initiatives.
About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic team at Moody's, working on the credit analysis of new and existing deals rated by Moody's Local Brazil. The role will cover different financial institutions, including banks, insurers, and asset managers, among others.

Requirements
  • At least 2+ years of experience in Financial Institutions or 3-4 years in credit analysis in similar fields.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are a must.
  • Validated and well-developed analytical skills.
  • Python programming and Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, statistics, accounting, or engineering.
