The position of Diesel Technician is open to candidates who can perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on agricultural equipment.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Performing diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
  • Participating in Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Supporting customer training and clinics.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
  • Keeping vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in good condition.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • FOLLOWING all safety rules and regulations.
  • Completing reports and forms related to work assignments.
  • Accounting for all time and materials used.
  • Performing diagnosis and repair in the field if needed.
  • Having Forklift experience and license is preferred.
  • Maintaining reliable attendance and working regular Service Department hours.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in service repairs.
  • The ability to perform repairs using specialized tools and follow technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in agricultural and turf equipment.
  • Skills in operating diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
  • Proficiency with Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
  • The ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
