We are hiring a Software Engineer to develop, test, and improve the Ubuntu Pro client.

  • Candidates should have strong Python skills, experience with open source projects, and familiarity with Ubuntu systems, package management, and system administration.
  • Passion for Ubuntu and its community, attention to edge cases, usability, and documentation are essential.

The role entails:

  • Collaborating with a distributed team
  • Writing high-quality code with tests
  • Debugging and fixing issues
  • Code review
  • Discussing ideas and solutions
  • Working remotely with occasional travel (2-4 weeks/year)
