Marine Electronics Specialist

The electronics engineer installs, services, and repairs marine electronic equipment on-board commercial and naval ships, yachts, and pleasure craft.
Key responsibilities include testing, adjusting, and troubleshooting components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas as well as loading, updating, and modifying software.
- Install, service, and repair marine electronic equipment
- Test, adjust, and troubleshoot components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas
- Load, update, and modify software
- Utilize knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address technical problems
- Make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- At least 3 years of experience as an electronics engineer in the commercial shipping industry
- A degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent certifications
- Proficient communication skills in English
- Detailed knowledge of electronics theory and application
- Possession of a GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License is highly beneficial
