Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

The Inventory Management Specialist is a skilled professional responsible for supporting cross-functional teams to drive impact in the warehouse or office setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfilling requests for equipment and providing support to adjoining teams
  • Requesting quotes from suppliers and placing orders through inventory management systems
  • Following up with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
  • Assisting with onboarding of new suppliers
  • Utilizing inventory management systems to accurately stow/move equipment to its location in the warehouse/stockroom
  • Setting up computer workstations, hotel desks, war rooms/events, and monitors
  • Internal replenishment to departments
  • Assisting with unloading shipments received at the facility
  • Collaborating with forecasting on shipments received, including parts and quantities
  • Receiving and processing equipment from suppliers and various sites
  • Packaging and preparing items for shipping companies
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance guidelines
  • Utilizing shipping software and address verification tools
  • Receiving into asset management systems
  • Labeling and staging equipment
  • Term collection and phone line suspension
  • Cleaning computers and assigning them to locations
  • Managing data wiping and asset retention
  • Confirming weekly legal hold status in asset management systems
  • Removing hard drives and encrypting laptop computers for employees
  • Configuring laptops, desktops, and tablets with specified operating systems, software, and hardware
  • Provisioning mobile devices for new employees and upgrading existing ones
  • Assigning, suspending, and activating mobile lines as needed
  • Testing equipment to ensure device functionality prior to deployment
  • Maintaining mobile carrier relationships
  • Enabling and disabling tethering and international data features
  • Troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Responding to mobile alerts due to usage
  • Managing corporate enrollments and line releases
  • Lost/stolen device management: assigning/removing devices, retrieving information, wiping previous user data, and sending devices to repair vendors
  • Ensuring proper movements and updates in inventory management systems
  • Managing individual task backlogs
  • Managing team task backlogs and escalations when applicable
  • Reviewing and reporting 30% statistical random sample size of closed tasks weekly for quality and timeliness of deliveries
  • Monitoring and driving task handling quality processes across teams
  • Managing task queues to meet or exceed targets, ensuring quick time to fulfillment, and maintaining high quality
  • Reporting trending issues
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, logistics, and inventory management
  • Ability to work in deadline-driven environments; ability to re-prioritize regularly to remain current with business needs
  • Self-motivated; ability to handle multiple responsibilities under limited supervision
  • Experience with Coupa or similar inventory management systems
  • Professional communication skills
