BW Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Maintenance Superintendent to join our team in Brazil. This is an offshore position that requires a strong background in maintenance management and a proven track record of ensuring safe and efficient functioning of technical facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and control the Maintenance Department to ensure compliance with regulatory and class requirements.
- Responsible for all maintenance functions, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunication.
- Perform criticality assessment of equipment and assign and review maintenance options.
- Liaise with OIM and other Department Heads for planning maintenance and operation activities.
- Responsible for pre-commissioning and commissioning during operation.
- Verify and review the Company's Policies and procedures through the Offshore Management Review.
- Develop and revise procedures and standing instructions for the Production Department.
- Ensure the Permit To Work system is controlled and adhered to as per requirements of the system.
- Responsible for stock control of spare parts and consumables within area of responsibility.
- Responsible for control of hazardous substances that are used/stored within the Maintenance department.
- Responsible for the relevant Risk Assessments; Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents. Administrate Company reporting System report.
- Liaise closely with onshore management, TMS and HSSEQ.
- Responsible for the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Unit Computerised Maintenance Management System Administrator.
- Responsible that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively.
- Responsible for checking of vendors and contractors equipment condition and certificates.
- Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
- Responsible for the training of subordinates and trainees.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Long relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
- Ideally seven years' experience as engineer in the Oil and Gas industry with at least two years in the supervisory position.
- Preferably FPSO or offshore platform experience.
- Preferably previous experience from working in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to function independently and in a team.
- Good interpersonal skills as well as good judgment.
- Excellent spoken and written communicative skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies and international rules and regulations.
- Good computer and use of computerized maintenance management skills.
