Job Description

The primary function of this role is to manage the operations of vessel trading, ensuring seamless coordination with various stakeholders.

  • Nominate vessels for trade under contractual agreements.
  • Issue documentary instructions in compliance with Letter of Credit (LC), customs, and contractual requirements.
  • Appoint inspectors for quality and quantity verification as per contractual specifications.
  • Process invoices through SAP and Documentum systems for timely payment by treasury.
  • Manage blending operations for operator products.
  • Clear vessels from terminals and counterparties.
Contract Management

Key responsibilities include evaluating operational performance against written contracts and resolving discrepancies between deal sheets and company recaps.

  • Evaluate contract performance metrics.
  • Resolve operational discrepancies.
  • Understand contractual terms, conditions, and content.
Financial Security

This role involves instructing treasury/finance on LC issuance/receipt and liaising with credit risk teams on financial security disputes.

  • Instruct Treasury/Finance on LC processing.
  • Liaise with Credit Risk Company on financial securities disputes.
  • Ensure adequate financial security for deliveries.
Insurance & Claims

Key responsibilities include reporting issues to insurance departments and collecting necessary documents and correspondence.

  • Report issues to Insurance Department.
  • Collect required documents and correspondence.
Coordination and Data Input

Accurate input of deal details into SAP and Documentum systems is essential.

  • Input accurate deal details into SAP and Documentum.
  • Update vessel movements, event dates, Q&Q, and pricing details.
Compliance

Ensure adherence to legislative requirements.

  • FOLLOW instructions to ensure legislative compliance.
Skill Requirements

Candidates should possess a university degree in logistics or oil/gas fields, along with solid professional qualifications.

  • University Degree in logistics or oil/gas field.
  • International ship management environment knowledge (oil/gas industry preferred).
  • Logistics services knowledge (storage/barges/inspections/agents/brokers, etc.).
  • Cargo operational and financial procedures knowledge.
  • Autonomous, proactive thinking ahead.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Good negotiation skills.
