Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead scientific projects at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading projects to deliver business benefits according to timelines, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), resource loading, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Plan and manage budgets associated with technology projects, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Evaluate project progress, supervise actuals to budget, and mitigate overspend.
  • Collaborate with business teams to measure ROI and benefits realization compared to baselines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues, escalating information and recommending issue resolution as appropriate.
  • Ensure project team compliance with organizational policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
  • Supervise external vendors and ensure they meet project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience providing knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
  • Proficiency in cross-functional project management principles (time, quality, cost).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with formal organizational change processes and methods (Prosci or similar approach).
  • Strong financial acuity and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking, solid judgment, and strong initiative.
  • Proven track record of leading and influencing collaboration across multiple and diverse groups.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and be a creative and innovative problem solver.
  • Ability to delegate and effectively prioritize workload.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
