Cloud Support Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career with us and support the technical needs of customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products.

This role entails investigating issues reported by customers, researching and escalating problems, resolving complex customer issues related to Canonical's portfolio of products, owning results to ensure each support case is handled according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the highest possible customer satisfaction, engaging directly with customers, and working collaboratively to resolve their issues.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and spoken English, exceptional academic track records, and undergraduate degrees in technical subjects or compelling narratives about alternative chosen paths.

  • Professional communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience in supporting Linux systems
  • Cloud computing expertise in provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience: Linux integration with other environments, ability to navigate stack traces and logs, and advise on next steps
  • Programming fundamentals in any language
  • Extensive customer support experience
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events
