Logistics Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Specialist to join our team in Brazil. As a key member of our global supply chain, you will be responsible for managing all import and export processes for Dow business operations.

Your primary focus will be on providing leadership and expertise in logistics-related matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing operational performance. You will work closely with our Customer Service Organization, Business Supply Chain, and Site Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of import and export activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead import and export operational issues and escalations within a business/region - Brazil.
  • Manage the operational performance of external providers and drive ongoing service improvements (Ocean Carriers, Dray Carriers, Freight Forwarders).
  • Develop and maintain the Regional Operating Discipline Management System, in alignment to global standards, work processes, and procedures.
  • Generate capacity and equipment forecasts by facilitating discussions with supported businesses (Monthly ES&OP, etc.).
  • Manage business and country-specific issues.
  • Lead work processes and systems enhancements; initiate MOC for regional changes where applicable.
  • Utilize Six Sigma to execute improvement projects.
  • Participate in/lead optimization studies and understand the impact of business Client volume changes to the current process.
  • Responsible for executing the RCI in case of serious or moderate incident with containers shipped.
  • Review KPIs and metrics to delivery better results to customer experience.

Requirements:

  • University Degree, preferably in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or other Sciences.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a Supply Chain or International Trade Environment.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Advanced Spanish language skills.
