Position OverviewThe Propulsion Structural Analysis Engineer will lead the development of product design and verification of structural integrity for primary and secondary structures stress development, certification of commercial airplane programs, production and post-production modifications using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other tools throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Knowledge in aircraft structures and propulsion systems, including pylon structures, nacelle, thrust reverser, mounts, fusible links, aerodynamic fairings, hinges and APU tail cone, with relevant integration aspects.
- Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish system design.
- Collaborates with engineering groups to determine product environment.
- Verifies structural integrity by developing and applying analytical methods, finite element models and simulations to establish structural characteristics and performance.
- Leads test planning and configuration, supports test execution and analyzes results to validate and verify systems meet specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.
- Supports in-service products through failure investigations and analysis of improvements, and develops analytical processes to enhance efficiency, quality and effectiveness.
