Well Intervention Specialist

The role of a Well Intervention Specialist is to design, plan and provide engineering support for well intervention activities. This involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize well performance, maintain integrity and support production enhancement strategies.
- Develop detailed well intervention programs including operational procedures, equipment requirements and risk assessments.
- Provide engineering support during planning and execution of well intervention operations such as wireline, slickline, coiled tubing, stimulation, well testing and fishing.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements regarding HSE and well integrity.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for proposed interventions identifying risks and mitigation measures.
- Prepare cost estimates schedules and materials forecasts for intervention operations.
- Monitor and analyze intervention performance providing lessons learned and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with contractors service companies and internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational needs.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of well intervention techniques well integrity principles and downhole tools.
- Good understanding of industry standards API ISO NORSOK and well control principles.
