Senior Software Release Engineer

As a key player in our Engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the release of software components to maximize engagement metrics and optimize software release configurations according to customer requirements.

The successful candidate will execute tracking and alignment of software components, track component versions, branches, and merges, and approve merges to the branch. Additionally, they will prepare release documentation, including Release Notes, Proof of tests, and installation notes.

They will also manage solution configuration, maintain CI/CD pipelines with DevOps team assistance, run, monitor, and do pipeline first triage, involve respective teams to keep CI/CD green on a daily basis, and coordinate new scope and fix issue plans.

This role involves managing the lifecycle of changes, working with ITMSO on SIS plan build and validation, preparing Production and non-Production environments' updates, running Production and non-Production environments' updates, and managing deployment issues and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute tracking and alignment of software components included on solution
• Track component versions, branches and merges – GIT advanced user (GIT maintainer a benefit)
• Approve merges to the branch, including merge conflict resolution
• Prepare release documentation: Release Notes, Proof of tests, installation notes
• Track and manage the solution configuration
• Ticket management
  • Maintain the CI/CD with the DevOps team assistance – Jenkins advanced user a benefit
  • Run, monitor and do pipeline's first triage
  • Involve respective teams to keep CI/CD green on a daily basis as the POC
    • Change management (CRs & HF) - Coordination of new scope and fix issue plans
    • Managing the lifecycle of a change
    • Work with ITMSO on SIS plan build and validation
    • Prepare Production and non-Production environment's update: communication plan, installation plan, roll-back plan and others as required
    • Run Production and non-Production environment's update: HF/DF/Maintenance patch deployment
    • Manage deployment issues and troubleshooting
      • POC for Internal Release management, alignment of the installation plan with the stakeholders (Configuration / Environment support / Deployment Management / Solution delivery / Customer support)
      Requirements
      • Previous experience with SW Release & configuration activities
      • Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration and development - CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Dockers)
      • Very good English Skills (verbal/writing)
      • Successful experience working with IT projects
      • Excellent communication and organization skills
      • Availability to work shifts
      • Availability to work from the office in hybrid mode either from Sao Paulo or Campinas office
      Education
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
