About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accountant to join our team in São Paulo. As a key member of our reinsurance accounting team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of client company contracts, premiums, and loss-related information into our global reinsurance system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify reinsurance statements of account and corresponding results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reinsurance terms and conditions.
  • Analyze and present reinsurance and accounting matters to various stakeholders, including cedents and brokers.
  • Process statements of account and losses in our SAP system, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Register new losses, contracts, and facultative business information in our local accounting system.
  • Arrange for payments and request outstanding balances from clients.
  • Ensure the quality of data for quarterly closing and annual financial statements on contract level.
  • Correspond with cedents and brokers, and assume responsibility for a specific group of clients.
  • Participate in projects and working groups locally and globally, collaborating with multiple departments.

Requirements

  • Degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar degree.
  • Reinsurance accounting experience and understanding of contract wordings.
  • Proficiency in Excel and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a proactive and motivated approach.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English.
