As a Senior Database Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the setup and maintenance of database software and infrastructure. This role involves closely collaborating with engineering teams to manage code changes and deployments for ongoing availability and reliability.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Database Infrastructure Manager. You will play a key part in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. Your skills in database internals, query planners, replication, and sharding techniques will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup, installation, configuration, and maintenance of database software and infrastructure
  • Closely work with engineering teams to manage code changes and deployments for ongoing availability and reliability
  • Collaborate with various teams to improve performance and build a reliable infrastructure that meets business requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years in database engineering or administration roles
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including design, deployment, and management of highly available database workloads
  • Deep expertise in relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and distributed databases (Cassandra, CockroachDB, Amazon Aurora)
  • Proficiency in database internals, query planners, replication, and sharding techniques
