Procurement Specialist Job Description

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to support all projects from gate 1 up to 5 (APQP). This role will work on current items, looking for material cost reductions and payment terms improvements. The main categories include metallic (ferrous and non-ferrous), polymers, rubbers, and electronics. The successful candidate will be responsible for lead procurement and gather all details for purchased materials and services along with some investments to fulfill the needs for new businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate short and long-term agreements with vendors
  • Visit suppliers for audits looking for savings opportunities
  • Guarantee price, quality, delivery, cost savings supplier relationship management and low-cost country spend migration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Sourcing experience
  • Experience working across multiple levels (including executive management), business functions, and geographic regions
  • Able to clearly communicate information in an easy to understand manner
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Background in Home appliances and automotive
  • Project management experience
  • Able to work self-management
