Radiopharmaceutical Specialist

Job Role Summary

This is a key opportunity to excel as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will work under supervision to prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals.

You will be responsible for performing various tasks such as drawing doses, packaging, and quality assurance testing. You will also assist with inventory management, labeling, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

• Preparation of prescriptions by typing labels and obtaining approval
• Draws doses into syringes or vials
• Performs quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals
• Receives, documents, and stores incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals
• Maintains computer inventory and records
• Assists in labeling blood cell products
• Performs general laboratory and facility clean up
• Makes deliveries to accounts using company vehicles
• Provides customer service via telephone
• Works under close supervision and reviews all work for accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 year of experience preferred
• Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Past IV experience is beneficial
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required
• Minimum age of 18 years due to driving company vehicle required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Manual dexterity required for occasional reach, lifting, and holding small objects
