We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operator to join our team at the Alumina Reduction Unit in São Luís do Maranhão.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the production process.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace;
  • Opening, closing, and drilling the 'mouth' of the pots;
  • Removing burnoff, performing extra exchanges, and adding sacks;
  • Re-tightening clamps, checking anode contact, and tracking exchanged anodes;
  • Performing coal powder foaming;
  • Operating utility crane, siphon cleaning machine, WL machine, and crucible cleaning machine.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Participation in Alumar's Operator Training Program (e.g., Youth Apprentice) is desirable;
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office is desirable;
  • Availability to work in shifts.
