Urgent Care Specialist Job Description

MainStreet Family Care is expanding its healthcare services and seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team as an Urgent Care Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to provide patient-focused care in multiple clinics, working closely with teams to deliver high-quality services.


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be flexible in their approach, and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As an Urgent Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide minor surgery procedures, such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Perform suturing and splinting as needed.
  • Evaluate and manage general orthopedic conditions.
  • Review x-rays and interpret results, while ensuring over-read by radiologists.
  • Offer general dermatology, eye problems, and EKG interpretations.
  • Develop emergency management skills to respond effectively in crisis situations.
  • Deliver general GYN expertise and treat children of all ages.
  • Manage occupational medicine and telemedicine services.

Work Schedule:

Shifts are determined two months in advance. Clinic hours vary by location but generally include Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. Work hours may change based on company needs, training requirements, or other factors.


Qualifications:
  • Physician Assistant Board Certification is mandatory.
  • An MSN or higher education degree is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel) is preferred.
