Job Overview

As a Global Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the renewal process for international clients. Your responsibilities will encompass creating and agreeing on annual service plans, formulating and agreeing on renewal data gathering strategies, and providing input into strategic meetings with clients, brokers, and insurers.

You will work closely with insurers and broking teams to establish local and master policy requirements, identify local nuances such as tariffs, wording restrictions, and local retentions, and agree on or establish key performance indicators (KPIs) with insurers regarding local policy and certificate issuance, premiums collection, and cash flow.

Additionally, you will contribute to premium allocations to ensure benchmarking with local norms and compliance with tariffs, communicate the group programme to broker networks and local client operations, and manage insurer administration of local policies, including timely instructions to local fronting companies and communication of status to clients.

Furthermore, you will produce analysis reports of local policy summaries to ensure purchase of compulsory covers, no duplication with global programmes, alignment of local policies with global programmes, adherence to group risk purchasing philosophy, and compliance with remuneration parameters.

As a General Advice professional, you will provide information on admitted/non-admitted policies, compulsory covers, local policy requirements, and regulations, advise colleagues, prospects, and clients on the operation of the global programme and insurer capabilities, and serve as a knowledge focal point for insurer expertise and processes.

Key Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include an education to A levels with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience and professional qualifications such as ACII or working towards it.

Required skills include intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office suite), comprehensive knowledge of insurance and underwriting, strong interpersonal and communication skills, professional demeanor with internal and external contacts, excellent client service experience, analytical skills for situation assessment and recommendations, understanding of processes supporting the operating model and strategy, experience with client service systems and processes, and intermediate data analysis and presentation skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are also essential for success in this role.
