ROLE PURPOSE
The Construction Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers in both onshore and offshore construction activities.
ROLE CONTRIBUTION
- Assist in the development and preparation of construction execution plans for medium to large-scale projects and shutdown campaigns.
- Contribute to the creation of scope of work documents for site subcontracting.
- Ensure that all constructability issues are addressed by the project, fabric maintenance, shutdown, and construction teams.
- Review client contract specifications and prepare corresponding project construction specifications, including fabrication and piping specifications.
- Ensure that relevant Quality Assurance (QA) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures are understood, implemented, and enforced by all construction personnel under their supervision.
- Be accountable for the quality and safety performance of all construction personnel working under their authority.
- Establish and/or review construction procedures and planning inputs for the project segment under their oversight.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of onshore/offshore installation work packs and job cards, depending on project size.
- Plan and assess work progress, evaluate situations, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Generate and distribute weekly progress reports or as agreed with the project team.
- Provide guidance and support to construction personnel under their supervision.
- Identify training and development needs for construction supervisors and communicate these to the Construction Manager as appropriate.
- Analyze and compile a list of all necessary tools and consumables required for offshore activity execution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and/or project management within the offshore industry, particularly with FPSO/FSO floating production vessels.
- Preferably possess a mechanical or structural engineering background.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
