Senior Linux Kernel Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Kernel Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing file systems and modules in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new features, support new OS versions, and implement performance and scalability enhancements for the Multi Version File System.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of kernel-level components.

The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience with Linux or UNIX internals and a passion for systems-level development.

Requirements:Technical Skills:
  • Significant experience with Windows kernel development
  • Experience with MiniFilter Driver development using Legacy Model
  • Understanding of Windows File System Architecture
  • Ability to perform Kernel level debugging (WinDbg)
  • Working knowledge of x86_64 instruction set
  • Knowledge of complex distributed systems
  • Ability to debug complex issues in a distributed systems environment
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols in a cross-platform environment (SMB, NFS, RPC, UDP, TCP/IP)
  • Ability to debug issues at the protocol level
  • Ability to administer Windows machines in a networked environment
  • Significant experience programming in C
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of C++
  • Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as PERL, and Powershell
  • Experience solving complex performance problems in distributed systems
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux kernel development
