Research and Innovation Leader

This role is responsible for spearheading research operations, driving new product development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across quality, production, and commercial functions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

  1. Lead R&D projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  2. Manage and mentor a team of laboratory professionals to optimize performance and innovation.
  3. Oversee the development and testing of new adhesives and product formulations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, sourcing, and engineering.
  5. Investigate and resolve technical issues, including customer complaints and field support.
  6. Present technical findings and project updates to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  8. Support internal and external audits and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in R&D, preferably in adhesives or flexible packaging.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of product development processes and laboratory operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
