Director of Student Support Services

This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional management and interpersonal skills, dedicated to upholding high standards.

The Director of Student Support Services is responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating all aspects of student support across phases. This includes developing and implementing the school's student support policy in line with school vision and relevant educational legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the student support team across phases;
  • Maintain oversight of all student support programmes, ensuring consistency and effectiveness;
  • Oversee the identification, screening, and assessment of students with barriers to learning;
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and accommodations for identified students;
  • Ensure accommodations for assessments and examinations are applied fairly, consistently, and in line with regulatory requirements;
  • Track and monitor the progress of students receiving support and adjust interventions as needed;
  • Support the transition of students between phases;
  • Provide guidance to teachers on inclusive teaching strategies, differentiation, and classroom-based accommodations;
  • Conduct regular professional development workshops for teachers on topics such as learning barriers, differentiation, classroom management, and assistive technology;
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate student support strategies into everyday teaching practices.
