We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law and be able to provide expert advice on legal matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal divisions, focusing on payment-related legal matters, and support with regard to merchant services projects.
- Drafting, structuring, reviewing, and performing legal analysis of contracts with customers, payment schemes, and stakeholders.
- Providing legal support and advice to internal divisions.
- Liaising and coordinating with external stakeholders, including lawyers, auditors, regulators, and colleagues.
Responsibilities also include maintaining intra-group litigation reports, consumer claims in Brazil, and following up on delegation of authorities and signatory powers.
**Requirements**
- Law degree required.
- A minimum of 4 years working experience at a Law firm or as an (in-house) Legal Counsel.
- Business-oriented with the ability to search for answers, solve problems, and focus on the final objective.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills and relationship management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Able to work under time pressure and dynamic environment.
- Hands-on attitude.
- Strong team player with high self-motivation and positive attitude.
- Perfect fluency (oral and written) in English; Spanish language highly appreciated.
- Nice-to-have knowledge in the payment industry and payment services.
