Automation QA Engineer Role Description

Our organization seeks a seasoned Automation QA Engineer to participate in the development of software testing methodologies, procedures, and tools.

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation, with a strong foundation in quality assurance processes, open-source test frameworks, and test design strategies.

  • Create comprehensive test plans, scenarios, cases, and reports that outline project deliverables and objectives.
  • Develop automated and manual tests for both UI and API services to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams comprising programmers, analysts, and administrators to advance the software development process.
  • Design, develop, and improve methodologies, procedures, and tools used in testing, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports, to facilitate knowledge sharing and reuse.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant software testing and test automation work experience.
  • A strong foundation in quality assurance processes, open-source test frameworks, and test design strategies.
  • Competency in unit testing frameworks and methodologies, such as JUnit or PyUnit.
  • Proficiency in Playwright for UI testing and familiarity with API testing and services.
  • A coding background in any language, preferably Python.
  • High-level knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
