Job Title: Outbound Operations Manager
">The Outbound Operations Manager oversees all aspects of outbound operations at a Sort Center. This includes managing and leading a team of sub-area managers, coaching and mentoring them to meet performance objectives, fostering positive employee relations, and developing leadership talent.
">- Drives the creation of quality initiatives, process improvement initiatives, and Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the Sort Center to meet and exceed business plans;">
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of Inbound, Processing, or Outbound operations;">
- Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Operations Managers accountable for their own performance and the performance of their departments;">
- Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, rolling them into improvement plans for the functional area;">
- Takes proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the network;">
- Develops and implements strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality;">
- Manages and leads a team of sub-area managers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management;">
- Fosters positive employee relations, including communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement;">
- Develops leadership talent within the Sort Center, including training, development, and succession planning;">
- Collaborates with other teams, including Delivery Stations, Fulfillment Centers, Safety, Loss Prevention, and Middle Mile teams, to ensure effective stakeholder management;">
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics, or related field;">
- Strong leadership and management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management;">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication;">
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays;">
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and decision-making;">
