Distributed Systems Administrator

We are looking for an experienced administrator to manage our distributed message broker infrastructure. The chosen candidate should possess a deep understanding of the system architecture and be able to provide technical guidance on implementing and operating our Kafka components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure configurations for Kafka clusters, including security settings and access control measures
- Manage user permissions, topics, and partitions, ensuring data integrity and consistency
- Monitor and troubleshoot cluster performance issues, utilizing tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Develop and maintain automated scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for infrastructure provisioning and deployment
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate Kafka-based services into our existing ecosystem
Requirements:
- Proficient in Linux administration, shell scripting, and containerization (Docker)
- Expertise in Kafka brokers, ZooKeeper, Connect, Schema Registry, KSQL, and Rest Proxy
- Familiarity with automation tools, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with data analytics, performance benchmarking, and data visualization
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
