System Administrator Lead

This position involves overseeing the performance of a team responsible for maintaining, upgrading and configuring systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead by example, utilizing technical expertise to drive efficiency and innovation.

About the Role

The System Administrator Lead is accountable for managing a group of engineers tasked with ensuring that all technological infrastructure runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the health and readiness of our Web Hosting Monitoring team at all times.
  • Developing long-term solutions for engineering problems within our Web Hosting services.
  • Providing coaching and onboarding support for new team members, offering day-to-day leadership and supervision.
  • Collaborating in making technical decisions, exercising final judgment when necessary.
  • Analyzing system performance and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Developing and implementing team goals aimed at increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Overseeing deployment, monitoring, maintenance and support processes for systems and services.
  • Identifying issues affecting clients and advising colleagues on challenging cases.
  • Monitoring and optimizing service performance using various tools including Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Prometheus and Ansible.
Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting large-scale Linux environments and resolving technical problems, including product optimization.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience leading an engineering team and mentoring others.
  • Familiarity with both on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
  • Proficiency in English language (C1-C2 level).
  • A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with IT trends.
