Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design and deploy scalable cloud-native systems on AWS, ensuring they function correctly at scale.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy and manage cloud-native systems on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including architecture, automation, observability and performance tuning.
  • Create Terraform modules and GitOps pipelines to simplify deployments.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines that are fast, reliable and get new features into production safely.
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, security and other tasks using the best tools for the job.
  • Prioritize system uptime, aiming for 99.99% across billions of transactions annually.
  • Collaborate directly with product engineers, security and leadership to deliver infrastructure that drives growth.
  • Mentor teammates, review pull requests and contribute to defining best practices as we grow.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Proven track record with LAMP (Linux Apache Mysql PHP).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • A deep understanding of Linux, containers, networking and cloud-native security.
  • Able to scale systems to handle high-volume and high-availability workloads.
  • Proficiency in scripting or coding languages like Python, Go or Bash.
  • A focus on automation and eliminating manual work wherever possible.
  • Startup or growth-stage experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in asynchronous environments like Slack, GitHub and Docs.

Bonus Points:

  • Built infrastructure for AI/ML systems, SaaS applications or telco-scale apps.
  • Used tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Vault, Elastic Stack or EKS.
  • Led technical teams or mentored junior engineers.
  • Hold certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, CKA or Azure Admin.
