Mechanical Design Specialist

About the Role:

This is a specialized role that involves the design of industrial equipment and facilities, particularly in the mining sector.

  • Design and develop mechanical solutions for industrial projects;
  • Collaborate with engineers to validate engineering solutions and ensure compliance with national and international technical standards;
  • Develop scopes, guidelines, and standards for complete industrial plants;
  • Ensure multidisciplinary integration across projects;
  • Lead project technical reviews (Design Review);
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare layouts for greenfield and brownfield mining plants.
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial projects within the mining sector;
  • Strong knowledge of 3D projects and BIM methodology;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor, and familiarity with SmartPlant;
  • Experience in equipment sizing, simulation software (FEM), and mechanical calculations is highly desirable;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly.
