St. Joseph High School is seeking a highly skilled educator to join our Languages and Literature Division as an English Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English to high school students, developing and implementing curriculum, and assessing student learning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student understanding of English language and literature
- Assess student learning through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administrators
- Stay current with best practices in pedagogy and educational technology
- Support students with special learning needs
- Manage classroom environment and supervise students outside of class
- Undergraduate degree in English, Education, or related field
- Teaching Credential (or ability to achieve within 5 years)
- Master's Degree in Education or related field
- Experience teaching high school students
- Experience as a classroom teacher
- Experience with educational technology and online learning platforms
The salary range for this position is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are typically paid at the minimum of the range or within the lower part of the range.
