Senior Payment Partnerships Director

As a seasoned commercial leader, you will oversee the development and growth of payment partnerships in the LatAm region for PPRO, a fintech company providing digital payment solutions to businesses and banks. Your expertise in the cards and local payments markets will be crucial in driving commercial outcomes and building a unique payment network.
Key responsibilities include leading two teams, one for developing new and growing existing payment partnerships, and the other for optimizing acquirer performance and chargeback management. You will also be responsible for coaching and developing team members, identifying regional projects and commercial opportunities, and creating new revenue lines from developing new payment partnerships.
Additionally, you will reduce and contain costs by measuring and negotiating with existing payment partnerships, ensure compliance with local scheme and payment method rules, and drive conversion and authorization levels by optimizing volume direction across multiple acquirers.
You will support the VP, Payment Partnerships, and senior leadership by providing relevant reports, data, and insights to existing systems and processes. You will also negotiate and close new business contracts, taking into consideration all aspects of a negotiation, including contracts management, pricing, deliverable conditions, timing, and others.
Furthermore, you will build and manage strategic relationships with payment partners, including networks, financial institutions, and industry providers, and understand PPRO's competitive position in the region and implement programs to further and improve payments products, services, and strategic objectives.
Qualifications include more than 10 years of proven experience in the cards and local payments industry, currently working in a similar position, familiar with market conditions and regulatory requirements, and experience navigating inside financial services companies, mainly payment providers, with a solid business development track record.
Fluent English and Spanish are a must, and you will be working in an international environment, with a solid understanding of doing business in Brazil and other countries in Latin America.
