Director of Regional Partnerships

About the Role:
As a key member of the Nium team, you will be responsible for leading the expansion and development of our payment network across Latin America. This role requires a strong understanding of the region's payment landscape, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner Management: Own the relationship with regional bank partners, driving growth and optimization of our payment network.
* Network Expansion & Execution: Develop and execute strategies to expand our payment corridors, functionalities, and bank partnerships in the region.
* Thought Leadership: Be a subject matter expert in the region, providing insights on regulation, pricing, risk appetite, and account opening processes.
* Company Representation: Represent Nium at senior levels with regional bank partners, building strong relationships and driving business growth.
* Implementation: Drive contract negotiations with bank partners, advocating for fair positions and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
* Project Management: Collaborate with internal teams to drive bank partners to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Requirements:
* 5-8 years of experience in payments and banking products.
* Transaction banking and FX knowledge, with expertise in complex payments flows.
* Knowledge of regional payment networks, regulatory affairs, industry standards, and players in the payments industry.
* Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, with demonstrated success in managing internal and external relationships.
* Analytical and conceptual thinker, with ability to devise strategic approaches for Nium with bank partners.
* Proficient in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
