Ecological Conservation Lead

Biodiversity consultants play a vital role in assessing and conserving ecosystems. We are seeking a Senior Biodiversity Specialist to lead our biodiversity efforts in Brazil.

• Lead comprehensive biodiversity baseline studies and critical habitat assessments to inform project planning and conservation strategies.
• Identify and assess project-related risks and impacts on species, habitats, and ecosystem functions.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation for environmental impact assessments and compliance reports.
• Develop and implement biodiversity action plans to achieve measurable conservation outcomes.
• Design and oversee biodiversity monitoring programs to track ecological performance.

• Degree in Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in biodiversity assessment and conservation planning.
• Demonstrated expertise in applying IFC Performance Standard 6 and integrating nature-related risk frameworks such as TNFD.
• Proficient in GIS, remote sensing, and biodiversity data platforms.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
