
Admissions and Intake Leadership Professional

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Director of Admissions and Intake. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the experience for individuals entering our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the Admissions Department, fostering a collaborative environment that drives integrated teamwork.
- Implement business development and marketing strategies to enhance admissions processes and direct potential clients to our facility.
- Address quality management issues related to crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services, ensuring exceptional patient care.
- Assign and distribute evaluations, intakes, or admissions according to request and hospital census demands.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality improvement programs for crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services, promoting excellence in patient care.
- Perform follow-up communication functions, generate recommendations for leadership, and develop program policies and procedures guiding service delivery.
- Oversee hiring decisions for Admissions Department personnel, provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education programs, as well as supervise internal positions responsible for crisis triage and/or evaluation services.
- Serve as a clinical liaison with referral sources, working to improve efficiency and quality in delivering services within the department.
- Ensure the department remains up-to-date on and compliant with new laws and regulations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, manage department finances, prepare and monitor budgets, and ensure the department operates within allocated funds.
- Determine and implement admissions best-practices, promote the hospital, and maintain a satisfied patient base.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or nursing license required; 5+ years' experience in healthcare-related admissions with a Bachelor's degree.
- Three years of work experience as a Director of Admissions in a substance abuse treatment facility is preferred.
