Key Responsibilities:

As a Workers Compensation Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for defending workers compensation claims through thorough research and preparation. Key tasks include conducting depositions of applicants, cross examining physicians, attending hearings conferences and trials as needed drafting pleadings motions and settlement documents negotiating settlements and providing strategic legal counsel to clients performing legal research and maintaining accurate case documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in workers compensation defense
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits and insurance policies
  • Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
