  • The Head of Payments will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and maintenance of our payment methods in Brazil and Mexico.
  • This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as product, sales, finance, and compliance to drive growth and efficiency of payment operations and product offerings.
  • The Head of Payments will also be responsible for the relationship with the payment ecosystem (gateway, acquirer, issuer, card scheme, and card/trade associations).

This role requires a commercially driven professional with focus on customer needs and expertise in online payments.

Experience working directly with payments industry players, particularly with Payment and Financial Institutions, is essential.

  • Drive sourcing and delivery of new products and partnerships that optimize transaction expense, revenue enablement, and customer acquisition.
  • Manage a portfolio of partnerships in Brazil and Mexico as primary point of contact for relationships.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with networks, financial institutions, and payment schemes to drive merchant/consumer acquisition and engagement.

This position involves analysis and optimization of our payment solutions, making recommendations to improve success rates, availability of payments platform, and lower costs.

  • Define and track project prioritization, roadmap, and execution.
  • Understand product's inbound and outbound value proposition, market competitors, and design go-to-market strategy.
Required Skills:
  • Experience working with payments industry participants.
  • Deep understanding of payment economics and payments ecosystem.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and cross-functional environment with proven track record of delivering projects.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in business development and commercial areas of Payment Services industry.
  • Graduate degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration/Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical background and proven project management experience.
