Junior Trader

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Junior Trader with expertise in commodities analysis to join our dynamic team in São Paulo, Brazil.

  • Making daily commercial decisions aligned with the company's trading strategy is an essential part of this role.
  • Assisting senior traders with business origination activities in Brazil and Central America requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication.
  • Maintaining close communication with global teams in the Netherlands and Singapore is crucial for seamless commercial and operational information flow.
  • Supporting and providing daily reports on futures hedging activities on the NY and London exchanges demands a solid understanding of international trade and agricultural markets.

The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in international trade, excellent networking and relationship-building skills, and demonstrates solid analytical thinking and negotiation capabilities.

This role involves making daily commercial decisions, assisting senior traders, maintaining communication with global teams, supporting and providing daily reports on futures hedging activities, executing and monitoring FX hedging operations, overseeing provisional price payments, conducting cold calls and prospecting, selling sugar to assigned clients/regions, monitoring and reporting customer risk exposure and position management, coordinating with counterparties, preparing export memos, maintaining and updating commercial cash flow reports, and managing documentation workflows.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree level, preferably in International Business, Economics, or Supply Chain.
  • Background in analytical commodities is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
