Job Description:

The Sales Support Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing sales data to provide insights that guide sales strategy. This position is key in facilitating all pricing and internal bid programs to support the NA VS&A Sales Organization's margin and revenue growth goals. The Analyst applies special pricing scenarios through ongoing communication with Sales, Procurement, Purchasing, Accounting, and Finance. Proficiency in fundamental Bid Desk processes and CRM tools is essential. Additionally, the Analyst contributes towards key strategic initiatives across multiple areas of activity, comprising a broad portfolio of bid and promotional programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and Evaluation: The Analyst is responsible for reviewing and evaluating price exception requests. This involves justification, impact analysis, precedence, and alternative solutions.
  • Channel Price Exceptions (LOU Process): The Analyst coordinates the process to approve price exceptions requested by the VS&A Sales team. This includes defining and discussing LOUs for the quarter, ensuring compliance with approval and authorization policies, liaising with the Finance team, and analyzing email requests from sales.
  • Proposal Management: The Analyst is responsible for managing proposals for Enterprise Account Sales Managers on a per-need basis. This involves running scenarios for P&L of individual projects, consolidating costs and equipment lists, and tracking approval processes.
  • Market Research: The Analyst researches industry benchmarks and competitor pricing to ensure our pricing is market competitive.
  • Negotiation: The Analyst is involved in negotiating pricing with Sales teams, explaining the rationale behind costs, and highlighting the value of proposed solutions.
  • Documentation: The Analyst documents price exception requests, approval processes, and final agreements, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Data Analysis: The Analyst's responsibility in pricing for projects focuses on ensuring accurate cost estimates, developing competitive pricing, and aligning pricing with project scope and client expectations.
  • Real-Time Adjustments: The Analyst uses historical and real-time data to adjust discounting, optimize performance, and ensure the best possible value for customers.
  • Optimizing Bid Rates: The Analyst leverages knowledge of industry benchmarks, platform capabilities, and negotiation skills to optimize bids across the business.

Basic Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience in sales support, deal registration, regional partner/channel programs, channel operations, deal desk, or related sales roles.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Understanding of sales process deal registration at technology, software, or services companies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while paying excellent attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., SFDC).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving and dispute-resolution abilities.
