About the Job:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team on a 10-month fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting local accounting operations and shaping the future of the team in the region as part of the revenue accounting team. They will work closely with international accounting and tax teams, as well as Sales, Sales Finance, Legal, and IT teams to build and drive process improvements.

This is an exciting opportunity to support our fast-growing operations, help build processes, and drive automations. The Accountant will assist in the monthly close process and serve as a point of contact for local providers in Brazil, gaining exposure to LatAm revenue accounting operations.

  • Support LatAm accounting operations
  • Prepare and review the monthly close pack for Brazil and related activities (e.g. release AP and tax payments, review accounting-related compliance filings)
  • Own accruals, filings, and payments for local tax filings related to AP and AR transactions for LatAm countries
  • Support month-end close activities for Brazil, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain SOX controls, as applicable
  • C Coordinate between XFN partners and accounting team to ensure accuracy and timely support
  • Recommend process changes, systems, and workflow automation
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, internet advertising company experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations, local regulations, and taxes
  • Prior experience working with and supporting sales, knowledge of advertising agencies in Brazil is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle R12, Google Suite, or similar systems
  • Strong Excel skills are a must, experience with Tableau, SQL, or similar are a plus
  • Public accounting certification and Big 4 or other public accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in English, Portuguese; Spanish is a plus
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, or equivalent experience
