**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Cost Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining organizational accounting principles, practices, and procedures related to cost accounting methods and activities.

The Cost Accounting Manager will perform detailed analysis on inventory costs to assist in the development of standard costs and understanding of inventory variances (e.g. purchase price variance (PPV), material usage variance (MUV), absorption). They will also establish procedures and formulate guidelines for conducting inventory cycle counts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish agreed cost accounting policies and procedures set globally to ensure the standardization and consistency of the manner at which costs are accounted for and reported on.
  • Perform detailed analysis on inventory costs to assist in the development of standard costs and understanding of inventory variances (e.g. purchase price variance (PPV), material usage variance (MUV), absorption).
  • Establish procedures and formulate guidelines for conducting inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Reviews weekly inventory reporting including slow moving and obsolete.
  • Interacts with cross-functional teams including plant operations, procurement, and commercial groups.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* B.S. degree in Accounting from an accredited university required.* Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, required to be in a manufacturing environment.* Must have working knowledge of inventory cost accounting principles, including experience with standard costing and variance reporting (PPV, MUV, Absorption).* Familiarity with a variety of accounting principles, concepts, practices, procedures, and GAAP requirements.
