We are seeking a skilled Security Software Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge security technologies and contribute to the development of secure software solutions.

As a Security Software Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and documenting new security features. You will also lead security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams, analyze and fix vulnerabilities in open source software, and contribute to Ubuntu and upstream open source projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need a thorough understanding of common categories of security vulnerabilities and how to fix them. You should also have knowledge of modern software engineering techniques, familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies, and experience as a security champion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, implement, and document new security features
  • Lead security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams
  • Analyze and fix vulnerabilities in open source software
  • Contribute to Ubuntu and upstream open source projects
Requirements:
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Thorough understanding of common categories of security vulnerabilities and how to fix them
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering techniques
  • Familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies
