Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist to join our team in an interdisciplinary research environment. As a member of the Neurodegeneration Computational Fellows Training Program, you will engage in cutting-edge computational approaches to neurodegenerative disease research.

This role is designed for individuals with a strong background in neuroscience, biology, computer science, or related fields, who are eager to develop their skills in data analysis and computational techniques. You will work closely with researchers, students, and faculty to contribute to the advancement of neurodegeneration research.

  • You will assist in analyzing large datasets using computational tools, identifying patterns and biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases.
  • You will learn and apply statistical or machine learning methods to support research on disease mechanisms, following established protocols.
  • You will support data processing tasks, such as image analysis or sequence alignment, using provided software or scripts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in neuroscience, biology, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Skills: Basic familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) or data analysis tools, with a strong interest in learning advanced computational techniques.
  • Experience: Some exposure to programming, data analysis, or neuroscience research through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
