Senior Billing Operations Manager

A key role exists for a seasoned professional to oversee the billing process, providing exceptional invoicing experiences to clients in the Americas Region. The successful candidate will lead a team of billing specialists in delivering timely, comprehensive, and precise invoicing.
This position requires collaboration with various functions within the organization. Key responsibilities include managing high volumes of invoicing, resolving escalated issues, and cultivating an environment that prioritizes customer service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline and oversee the billing process across multiple contract types.
- Implement and document regional policies and procedures while ensuring adherence to applicable group policies and procedures.
- Provide hands-on training and collaborate with operations to identify and implement process improvements.
- Plan and execute quality assurance initiatives for all processes.
- Ensure team productivity, compliance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify problems, propose alternatives, recommend solutions, and implement approved solutions.
- Collaborate with the collections team to research and resolve billing issues or discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent level of knowledge in a relevant field.
- Fluent English.
- Mandatory minimum 8 years of experience in progressive accounts receivable/billing roles, preferably in the staffing industry.
- Mandatory minimum 5 years of people management experience, including direct employees and via Leads/Supervisors.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian billing process (local taxes) is required.
- Preferred experience with third-party payer guidelines, billing practices, and reimbursement practices.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to effectively manage and mentor staff.
- Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills to evaluate situations, present conclusions, and recommend action plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
