The role of Data Architect Specialist is to design and document the logical and physical structure of enterprise databases, creating ETL Design Specifications and related documentation. This involves leading data governance initiatives and communicating with cross-functional teams on database design activities.

Key responsibilities include working with various technologies such as Hadoop, Big Data, NoSQL, Data Virtualization, Data Services, Oracle, and Oracle Exadata. The Data Architect II must create and document logical data integration strategies for data flows between disparate systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Additionally, this role performs in-depth data analysis, data modeling, and data administration tasks on complex datasets with potentially intricate data integration scenarios. It also establishes and maintains Enterprise Data Modeling and Data Integration standards.

Other key duties include communicating with users to plan, develop, improve, and maintain moderately complex components of the logical/physical corporate model, and working closely with BSA, business, and IT team members to clarify and refine functional data requirement specifications.

As a Data Architect Specialist, you will develop and present training materials such as data flow diagrams, conceptual diagrams, UML diagrams, ER flow diagrams to effectively communicate data model meaning and usage to a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ultimately, this role requires a strong understanding of emerging technology trends and data-driven solutions to drive innovation within an organization.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, experience in data modeling, and proficiency in current data technologies such as Hadoop, Big Data, NoSQL, Data Virtualization, Data Services, Oracle, and Oracle Exadata.

Additional skills required include advanced English skills, both verbal and written, working knowledge of business processes for supported business groups, information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and document logical data integration (ETL) strategies for data flows between disparate source/target systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Perform a variety of in-depth data analysis, data modeling, and data administration tasks on complicated datasets with potentially complex data integration scenarios with limited supervision
  • Establish, maintain, adhere to, and enforce Enterprise Data Modeling and Data Integration standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in related field
