Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Camp Manager to lead our team in a prestigious private game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests
  • Check guests in during the day and manage dietaries, children, or any other special requests
  • Implement and follow operational procedures
  • Host guests during the day - meet them on return from game drives and assist with any requests
  • Ensure that all guest products are consistently of the correct standard
  • Check set ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Make sure the main area is always tidy and styled according to our brand standards
  • Host guests at mealtimes and check smooth running of service from the kitchen and waiters
  • Work closely with waiters and department heads to maintain a high service standard
  • Assist in any other departments as and when required
  • Host children's activities at the lodge
  • Provide superior service and quality to guests
  • Must enjoy working with children and be creative when planning fun children's activities

Requirements:

  • Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff
  • Previous camp manager/safari host experience is advantageous
  • Previous experience in working with kids is advantageous
  • Hospitality experience
  • Environmental and conservation interest
  • Knowledge of the surrounding communities
  • General knowledge of South Africa
  • Valid unendorsed SA driver's license is essential

Remuneration and Package:

  • This is a permanent live-in position
  • Salary: R10 000
  • Leave cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
